From May 5 thru 9, and during the first week of June, August and September, Alvear Palace Hotel offers a refined and memorable experience at its distinguished tea-room L’Orangerie
During the whole week, camera musicians will perform several melodies and the most famous pieces from Baroque and Classic periods. This is an initiative originated in the traditional European customs matched with modern culinary trends.
Alvear’s tea service has been a porteños’ tradition for the last 75 years. English styled, tea is enjoyed every afternoon from 5pm and it is served by white-glove waiters. The menu, specially designed for the occasion, comprises a selection of finger sandwiches, warm scones accompanied by homemade marmalades from El Bolsón, butter and lemon cream; variety of puddings, mini gateaux from the pâtissier’s car and fruit tarts, among other delicacies.
The gourmet experience begins with a glass of sparkling wine, and the prefect end is a combination of mini gateaux and a glass of late harvest wine.
