Avenida de Mayo keeps great part of the historical and cultural heritage of Buenos Aires. There, a very important part of our tango history has happened, and there was kept the Spanish heritage, visible in arts as well as in gastronomy. The cultural program La Gran Vía de Mayo proposed enjoying fullfully the avenue, in music and drama shows, guided tours, exhibitions and events at notable cafés.
This Saturday 17, the guided tour Memoria poética y española (Spanish and poetic memory), will depart from Teatro Avenida, in Av. de Mayo 1222, at 5pm; and, at 8pm, the Celtic folk band Xeito Novo will perform on an open air stage of Bar Iberia, Av. de Mayo & Salta.
Sunday 18, 8pm, the show Esencia Gitana, with musicians and bailaores, will be presente don the open air stage in Casa de la Cultura, Av. de Mayo 575. And the great finale will be at 8.30pm, with a tango fest, which comprises the performance of singer Raúl Lavié on Bar Iberia’s open air stage, Av. de Mayo & Salta.See all the activities.
